There are various rumours going around the Rally Community at pre- sent regarding the running of the Fat Albert Stages in 2011 and we would like to clarify the position. During 2010 there was a motorsport-related activity at Keevil which caused a complaint to be made to the local council regarding noise, we understand the event in question was not the 2010 Fat Albert Stages.
As a result of the complaint there has been a restriction placed on weekend Motor Sport Activity at the airfield between 1 April and 30 September.
The Fat Albert Stages enjoys a good relationship with Defence Estates and the Airfield Operating Authority and we are currently working with these organisations, and the Council, to find a solution to the current issues. While these discussions are ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further or speculate on the outcome.
We are still hopeful that we can find a solution that will allow us to run the 2011 Fat Albert Stages on the current published date of 30 July. As soon as we have a clear decision on the outcome for the 2011 event we will communicate it via our normal channels. Nick Eccles Clerk of the Course, Fat Albert Stages.
Following the recent announcement (above) regarding the 2011 Fat Albert Stages, we are pleased to announce that the new date for the 2011 Fat Albert Stages is Saturday 29 October. We have carefully studied the rallying calen- dars and consulted with the Championships that the Fat Albert Stages supports in order to reduce clashes with other established events.
The organising team are now busy ensuring that everything is in place to make sure the 2011 Fat Albert Stages is as popular and enjoyable as normal!

My review of a recent experience at Tuffy Auto on East College in Appleton:
"I will preface this by saying I know little about cars and I had been taking my cars here for a couple years. They were convenient and my company has a discount with them. Unfortunately, the cheapest isn’t always the best.
I took my wife’s car here over a month ago over a bad turn signal. When my wife made the appointment, she told them she thought it might be a bad fuse, but could they still check it out. After "diagnosing" the issue, they said it was a bad signal switch, and proceeded to try to find a salvage yard part to keep the cost down. After two weeks, they found one that worked and we scheduled a date to bring the car in (the day after they received the part). The day of the appointment, I show up and they said the yard sent them the wrong part (wrong car, wrong part). Another half week later, they put the part in and it still doesn’t work. As this had extended out over several weeks, we just told them on a Friday to get a new part and they said they’d call by end of day to let us know what they found. By Tuesday, still no word from them. They ordered a part but it was backordered. On a whim, I thought I’d try to pop a new fuse in (which admittedly, I should have done day 1). That’s what the problem was and the turn signals worked again. After a laborous month of waiting, it turned out that they either didn’t bother checking for a burned out fuse, or they didn’t care to try a new one. So in my book, they’re either shady in getting us to do a whole new switch, or at the very least grossly incompetent for not checking fuses to begin with.
I had taken my car there for oil changes and other things in past because they seemed on-the-ball with those things, but it seemed toward the end that they seemed to be better and better about finding things wrong with the car which may or may not have needed fixing. They may be cheaper than most other places (especially with my company’s discount), but I’m sorry… the trust is gone. A fuse seems like THE most obvious thing in the world, and had they bothered to check that first, maybe I’d still be a customer.
I went in to cancel the order for the new part, saying that I replaced a fuse and it worked now. I showed them the old fuse next to a new one, and it’s obvious that the fuse had blown, and all he had to say was "amazing…" before profusely apologizing. I don’t find it all that amazing, unfortunately. "
